Jet Stream Analyses and Forecast
|
The location of the jet stream has a very significant affect on local atmospheric
seeing. When the jet stream is overhead or very near the upper atmosphere can get
quite turbulent causing increased scintillation and degraded or poor seeing.
For information about the location of the current Pacific Coast jet stream and forecasts
for up to 72 hours, click on the
Jet Stream Analysis and Forcasts at 300 mb.
